Staff & ODC Estimates
Accurate staffing and other direct cost (ODC) estimates are the cornerstone to a winning cost / price volume. Our subject matter experts build staffing from the lowest level of the performance work statement, considering all equipment and workload data. Our staffing basis of estimate work is transferred into our Excel cost models. We overlay the proposed contract method of operations upon the proposed staffing to arrive at the total contract work breakdown structure/organization.
Estimating other direct costs is always critical to a winning cost / price volume. We perform discrete estimates of each ODC on a contract period to contract period basis using escalation factors as part of our forward pricing approach. ODCs will typically include materials, supplies, tools, support equipment, and consumables.
